Remember that time that little Molly almost got snatched by a hawk?
I've been a bit worried about it ever since, even though she's much bigger now.
Well, today (before it started snowing randomly) Molly and I were in the backyard. I was attempting to teach her to play with a Frisbee, which she was very enthusiastic about but which wasn't going well because the Frisbee is way too big for her. All of a sudden, she ran in the opposite direction of the frisbee, staring up at the sky and barking her head off.
I looked up and there was the hawk! Fortunately it just kept flying along. It probably prefers prey that runs from it as opposed to prey that threatens it.
I'm relieved to know that Molly can notice the hawk coming--I had no idea it was up there. Hopefully she can handle herself and he's not a threat anymore. Our new place will be deep in suburbia, so maybe we won't have to deal with hawks!
